Click here for the detailed schedule of the 2016 Masskara Festival
The Masskara Festival which happens every October is considered as one f the longest festival ever celebrated in the Philippines.
For this year’s celebration of the Masskara Festival, several changes were made in the celebrations and managing of events.
The Arena Dance Competition which was held at Paglaum Stadium in the last few years will be brought back again to the public plaza. For those planning to witness this part of the festival, it would be best to be at the public plaza very early to find a better place wherein you can see the performances of the participating Barangays.
Most often, many fiesta goers would simply watch on the street as it will be more convenient and easy to find a good spot to see the performances of the dancers. For those who doesn’t like the heavy flow of traffic at the downtown area, you can also visit the malls, and see various Masskara Festival related exhibits. A wide variety of masks collections is available at the Negros Showroom, Central City Walk, Robinsons Place.
