The Dinagyang Festival is one of the biggest and grandest festivals in the Philippines.  Held in Iloilo City, Dinagyang festival attracts various tourists both local and International.

For many who have witnessed this event, Dinagyang Festival is not only a festival which showcases the culture of Ilongos , it is also an event which promotes creativity and discovery of new talents.Witnessing the festival, one can immediately conclude that it is a venue for any  choreographers to shine. Each competing tribe is expected to perform with much drama and gimmicks with their performances. Many choreographers would prepare months before to put up a great dance-drama during the event.

Dinagyang Festival also has the “Kasadyahan” wherein festivals from other provinces and cities would compete with each other. This feature of Dinagyang Festival made the event even more meaningful as it fosters friendship amongst other provinces and cities in the country.

For those who are planning to witness their festival, it would be great to book your hotels way ahead as bookings may come quite difficult if it is nearing the festival dates.



January 25, 2013 (Friday) – Fluvial Procession
January 26, 2013 (Saturday) – Kasadyahan Cultural Festival
January 27, 2013 (Sunday) – Ati Streetdance Competition

Tickets for the performance areas will be available by the first week of January.

For reference, number of tickets sold and prices as of 2012:
Freedom Grandstand (Stage 1) 600 tickets – P1,200* each
Provincia Capitol Area (Stage 2) – Complimentary seats
Luna Street Judging Area (Stage 3) 500 seats – P1,000* per seat
Iloilo Sports Complex (Stage 4) 4,000 seats – P300* per seat

*Ticket prices for 2013 are not yet available

The performance stage tickets are inclusive of the two-day event (Kasadyahan and Ati-ati competitions). Online booking is not available. Tickets can only be purchased at the City Tourism and Development Office (CTDO).
