TAGAYTAY TRAVEL GUIDE | ITINERARY, BUDGET, HOW TO GET THERE, THINGS TO DO
I had visited Tagaytay many times for some business and family trips. But for reasons, I was not able to write a travel guide about the place.
But since AirAsia just recently launched its Manila-Iloilo-Manila route I thought that it would be great to write about this place especially for people in the Visayan Region who might want to visit the place for relaxation.

I was part of the media and bloggers from the Visayas who were invited to partake in the celebration of the Inaugural Flight of Air Asia in Manila-Iloilo-Manila route.
Considering that Air Asia offers one of the cheapest airfare in the country today, more and more people will be encouraged to travel more between Luzon and Visayas to experience best regional destinations. Please see more of the destinations in the Visayas at the bottom of this post.
For the bloggers coming from the Visayas, we were brought to experience Tagaytay for a 2-nights and a day Tour.
Since the beginning of time, Tagaytay has been the run-away place for those who would like to have a quick getaway vacation. With the approximate distance of 56 kilometers from the heart of Manila, this is surely a place where you should go. This is most especially true to those bakasyonista who are coming from hot and humid temperature. There is no reason to travel far and climb Baguio City if you can also experience the same cold temperature in the nearby Tagaytay. Aside from its well-known cold temperature, It also has a variety of adventures to offer that will surely make your quick getaway very worth it! In this article, we will be giving you the list of the must-see places once you land the cold City of Tagaytay!

Some of the delectable Filipino dishes we enjoyed at Pamana
Pamana Restuarant offers Filipino cuisine with heirloom recipes that were handed down from the generation to generation. The place is also exciting as it reminds you of your own home seeing family photos displayed along the staircase and other pieces found in most ancestral pieces. Admittedly their dishes were really good.

BAG OF BEANS
One of the exciting dining places we visited in Tagaytay was the Bag of Beans. They have several branches in the place but we visited their main branch at Aguinaldo Highway.
With the eclectic decors and pieces found at the place, the Bag of Beans is a fest to the senses.
They offer freshly baked cakes and pastries and their pies are a must try.

HOW TO GET TO TAGAYTAY
The most convenient way to get to Tagaytay is to hire a Van or an airport taxi. Some taxi drivers charge a fixed rate or double the meter fare plus toll fees. Private taxis may between 1800 and 2000 pesos, depending on your specific destination.
Coming from Manila by bus
This can be quite confusing for foreign tourists, and also quite difficult if you are traveling with large luggage.
For you to get to Tagaytay via bus from Manila, go to Roxas Boulevard, south of the Baclaran Redemptionist Bus Terminal. Walk south along the west side of the street (the direction of buses going south) and look for a Cavite Batangas bus with the destination “Tagaytay” on its windshield. Just tell the bus conductor where you are going and they will punch a ticket with a corresponding fee. The fare from Roxas Blvd. near the Del Carmen bus terminal to Tagaytay Mahogany Ave bus station (corner of Crisanto de los Reyes Rd. and Mahogany Ave.) as of March 2017 cost 80 pesos.
Tagaytay does not have a dedicated bus terminal. Just ask the bus conductor to tell you when the stop for “Tagaytay” or “Olivarez plaza” comes.
